BREAKING NEWS: TEXAS COLLEGES ARE DENYING MENINGITIS VACCINE EXEMPTIONS BECAUSE OF THE DECLARED COVID-19 PUBLIC HEALTH DISASTER!
TFVC is sad to report that more Texas colleges are ignoring the legislative intent and historical application of the exclusion statute for students with exemptions. Concordia University and Texas State Technical College are both now refusing enrollment to students using an exemption affidavit for the bacterial meningitis vaccine because of the Covid-19 emergency.
You may recall that Kilgore College attempted the same thing in June. When TFVC brought their misapplication of the law to light, they quickly reversed course after discussions with the state about their exclusion policy.
We are disappointed yet again that institutions of higher learning fail to see the absurdity in denying enrollment of students who have chosen not to get a bacterial meningitis vaccine under the justification that we are experiencing an outbreak of another disease entirely, one for which there is not yet even a vaccine.
This policy makes zero scientific sense. In fact, you won’t find one doctor who will say that college students getting bacterial meningitis vaccines will help stave off Covid-19!
This is another step towards vaccine mandates, and we call on these colleges to STOP forcing medical procedures on their students!
ACTION ALERT:
Contact their admissions offices and ask them to honor the historical application of the exclusion statute for students with exemptions!

I started looking for info on quantity men. B vs men A and cases in recent years. This little bit of info was on one of the pages. When I was in the Army back in ’02 (actually March 1970). going thru basic training we saw info about meningitis and what were symptoms and the need for treatment immediately. There had been one case earlier that year at a different base. No vax for it yet. Emphasis was sleeping on bunks with a small corner of the bed with a sheet barely preventing breathing for top on the lower schlep.
The Army film showed a few cases of the extreme pain and permanent results. I did not want that one. Fortunately they made me platoon leader the next day and I had my own room. The rest were in a big bay with bunks.
“The American Rockefeller Institute for Medical Research and its experimental bacterial meningococcal vaccine may have killed 50-100 million people in 1918-19” is a far less effective sales slogan than the overly simplistic ‘vaccines save lives’.”

WELL. Everybody knows there is a direct correlation between meningitis and COVID 19, right. Huh?
There is a risk with all vaccines. Just read the product inserts. Therefore, they should never be mandated. Everyone should have the right to choose what is injected into their body or not. I absolutely oppose you forcing this upon your students as well as any employees.

Tweaked it to mention my two near college age kids and changed the wording a bit but left it polite. I think it is important to not just copy and paste if you want them to really consider that you are concerned and not just filter them all to the trash.
